JESS MAPP – FOUNDER

I am the Founder and Head Coach of Toddler Tennis. I was first introduced to the sport when a charity called the ‘Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation’ came to my school. From a total beginner at the age of 9, I went on to represent my county in U14 (training 6 days a week) and continued to play competitively throughout University. I am now married with a daughter called Lucy who is 2 years old and I continue to play club level tennis for Moseley Tennis Club.

At 21 I beat over 300 applicants to become a part of the British Tennis Youth Group – A voluntary consultive body representing the LTA as a young person. I am a level 3 tennis coach and coach people of all ages, but I found my niche and passion was coaching the 2-5 year old age group. I have a bit of a silly personality and this is reflected in the way we coach at Toddler Tennis. I absolutely love what I do and can’t wait to continue to develop Toddler Tennis so we can encourage more children into the sport.

FACT ABOUT ME: I did a Masters at Loughborough University alongside working as a Student Tennis Coordinator.
